Our Cancer Journey
Imagine cancer hitting two members of the same household at the same time. For some families in our respite program, this is a reality of life.
Bill is 41 with testicular cancer, and his wife, Jenn, has breast cancer. The couple has been fighting to support one another through the cancer journey for a year – as Jenn was being treated for breast cancer, they were shocked to hear Bill’s own diagnosis.
Bill and Jenn are the parents of two young children, one with special needs. Bill’s oncology team at AHN Cancer Institute in Wexford, PA, knew the couple would benefit from an FPS Travel Respite and nominated the family to take a break from cancer.
