For Pete's Sake
18th Annual Beach Ball Gala
SAVE THE DATE For our 18th Annual Beach Ball Gala at Vie: January 27, 2018!
Our 17th Annual Beach Ball Gala was a SOLD OUT event with 600 people enjoying an evening filled with FUNdraising!
We raised $212,000 total for our mission – RECORD BREAKING for the gala.
You answered the call of the match provided by The Johnny M. Foundation and Robert Carlino, and we received over $130,000 in our “Give a Break” portion of the evening. You donated funds to help families travel – that’s enough for 26 families to experience a break from cancer and related emotional support.
Be sure to check out the photos on our Facebook page – please tag, like, share and comment!
It takes a LOT of people to create such a beautiful event, and we’d like to express our gratitude to many!
Thank you to our emcee, Adam Joseph, for sharing his personal story! A big hug to our speakers, Marci Schankweiler (FPS Founder and CEO), Lem Woodson of Chick-fil-A, Trish Sinnott and Chris Solecki of the FPS Board, and Travelers, Jeff and Kristen Matyas, for sharing our mission. The Phillie Phanatic was a great surprise, and we loved clowning around with him as always! Contagious kept us on the dance floor all night long and we enjoyed beautiful beach themed décor by Do the Right Theme. A big round of applause for Trish Gambino, RN, MSN and William Heim, M.D. as they were awarded our first event Gratitude Award.
Thank you to our Gala Chairs, Dan & Maureen Peters and Mark Gernerd and the entire Gala committee who worked hard to make the night a success. A special shout out to our amazing volunteer coordinator, Christina Jones.
Thank you to all of our generous auction donors and to all of our amazing volunteers, including Accenture, Gamma Iota Sigma of Temple University, Sigma Phi Lambda of La Salle University and The Blue Crew.
Lastly, thank you to our vendors, including Cescaphe Event Group, Tito’s Handcrafted Vodka, Victory Brewing Company, Troegs Brewery, E & J Gallo Winery, Smith Restaurant, Johnson’s Popcorn, Shutterbooth and Maryanne Pastry Shoppe.
We hope to see you next year! In the meantime, check out what else we have brewing on the events page of our website here.
