Third Annual Dave Duemler Golf Outing
Thank you to all who joined us for the 3rd Dave Duemler Memorial Golf Outing to benefit For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation! Over 75 golfers teed off at the beautiful Indian Valley Country Club in Telford, PA for a morning of fun, raising funds to help give families a break from cancer! Following golf, the festivities continued with a delicious dinner and program. Including an ice cream sundae bar, which Dave would have loved. Together, supporters raised over $20,000—enough to send FOUR families on respite vacations!
This event was coordinated by For Pete’s Sake volunteer/traveler, Lisa Duemler, along with her family and friends. A special thank you to the Hennings for sharing their story with the crowd.
The Duemlers were recipients of a For Pete’s Sake respite vacation in 2007, after Lisa’s husband, Dave, was diagnosed with colon cancer. After their respite vacation, the Duemlers wanted to do something to give back to the next For Pete’s Sake family. For three years Dave proudly served on the Board of FPS and after his passing in 2010, Lisa decided to plan an event in Dave’s memory that combined his love of golf and FPS. With the help of volunteers, Lisa has done a phenomenal job sharing our mission!
