This event is coordinated by FPS volunteer, Suzanne Lahetta, along with her family and friends. The Lahettas were recipients of an FPS respite vacation in May 2016, after Suzanne’s husband, Carl, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which he had been battling since September 2015. In July of 2018, Carl lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. While Carl was bravely fighting this disease, they had their ups and downs, but lived life to the fullest.

Their respite vacation gave the family time to reconnect, rejuvenate and create wonderful memories together. For that short period of time, they were able to put cancer to the side and just enjoy themselves!

After their respite vacation, the Lahettas wanted to do something to give back to the next FPS family and loved the idea of planning a color race in their town. With the help of volunteers, including Mark and Deanna Cunningham, another family helped by FPS, Suzanne has done a phenomenal job sharing our mission with the community of Doylestown.
