Christina had the Chance

to Laugh with Her Family!

“I am so grateful that my family has

had the change to reconnect and laugh.

I live for their smiles and to hear their laughter,

it was the best medicine I could’ve asked for.”

Our Cancer Journey

Christina, age 38, is the mother of four beautiful children! When she was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma in July of 2018 rocked her family’s world. She told us, “We need a family respite to have the chance to bond and become the close family we were before my diagnosis. It would be a much-needed mental break for all of us not to have to worry about the “c” word. Cancer has not only impacted me, but my entire household, mentally, physically, and emotionally. We all need the chance to smile, laugh and to feel happy again. My diagnosis has caused a lot of stress, especially on my children. We would be so grateful for the opportunity to get away together.”

Our Break From Cancer

Christina and her family had the chance to go on a group respite thanks to our Travel Partners at Woodloch Resorts. She, her husband and children had a fantastic time taking in the sights of nature and spending time together, making priceless memories filled with lots of laughs. Christina share with us, “My family and I had an absolute blast. This respite was exactly what we needed to take a break from the cancer chaos and remind ourselves of what our life was like before cancer and chemo. The laughter, joy, smiles and excitement mychildren had the week was completely priceless to me. I am so grateful that my family has had the change to reconnect and laugh. I live for their smiles and to hear their laughter, it was the best medicine I could’ve asked for.”
