9-Year-Old Raises Thousands of Dollars from Fundraiser “Cupcakes for Cancer”
WEST CHESTER, PA — For Pete’s Sake and Dunkin’ of Greater Philadelphia yesterday teamed up to honor local nine-year-old Ava Melasecca from West Chester, PA, with a special outdoor celebration.
Ava recently raised a total of $8,000 with her fundraiser “Cupcakes for Cancer,” where she baked and sold treats to family and friends to help raise donations for local nonprofits, including For Pete’s Sake.
For Pete’s Sake and the Dunkin’ Community Cruiser visited Ava and her family outside of their West Chester house to provide a well-deserved afternoon break sampling hot chocolate, Dunkin’ Munchkins® Donut Hole Treats, and coffee to Ava’s family, friends, and neighbors (with social distancing measures, personal protective equipment, and safety precautions in place).
