How to Request Donations to FPS in Lieu of Flowers in an Obituary

Option 1: Create a Remembrance Page

1. Make a Remembrance Page: Go to our website to create a special page in memory of your loved one.
2. Share a Photo and Story: Upload a favorite photo and write a heartfelt story or message.
3. Invite Others: Encourage family and friends to add their memories and make donations.
4. Include the Page URL in the Obituary: Use the link to this page in your loved one’s obituary so others can easily donate and leave messages.

Option 2: Write a Simple Note in the Obituary

• Include this Text: “In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, 620 West Germantown Pike, Suite 150, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19426, or online at www.takeabreakfromcancer.org.”

Complimentary Memorial Cards

• Available for Funeral Services: We offer free memorial cards for your loved one’s life celebration service. These cards share information about making donations to For Pete’s Sake and the impact of their support. We will send these cards directly to the funeral home.

Acknowledgment for Donors

• Every donor will receive a thank-you card and a beautiful Tree of Life charm. If the donation is in memory of an FPS Respite Recipient, they will also receive a personalized memorial photo card.

Memorial Reports and Support Resources

• You will receive a report listing all donors who contributed in memory of your loved one, along with grief resources to help your family find peace.
