Pete’s Corporate Partners

Together, we help more families facing cancer, and Pete’s Partners is how we do this with you, our Corporate Supporters.  Whether it be directly funding a family’s FPS Respite Experience, engaging your colleagues at the FPS office for a Take A Break event, starting a Walk team, or putting some fun in fundraising with clever ideas (and we have some to share), we want to be YOUR PARTNER!

A partnership goes both ways, and FPS strives to provide value as an active resource for those connected with your organization facing cancer.  Similarly, your support is critical in advancing our mission of Respite to more families than we ever could!

Check out our Pete’s Corporate Partners Collaboration Guide below!

Here are some of our favorite Pete’s Partners stories to get you started and excited!

Polar Bear Plunge

Phillips Corporation does an Annual Polar Bear Plunge where employees are divided into teams and individuals, and teams fundraise to fund a respite. FPS has the technology and guides you through the process. Of course, the plunge itself is not only fun but also entertaining. Check out their fundraising page here.

A Day of Service

We visited our friends at Incyte, and employees from Eli Lilly joined us at the office – the choice is yours for a day of service! You will create items that support the FPS Respite Experience and personalize the respite for an FPS Family.

Sponsor an Event

Our partner, Essent Morgage Insurance, is an annual sponsor for both our FPS Gala and our For Pete’s Sake Walk. Your company can sponsor an FPS Event and treat your colleagues to a fun afternoon or evening supporting Respite. With five main FPS Events, from a Walk to Golf and our Gala, there is fun for everyone! Check out our Events page for more information: https://takeabreakfromcancer.org/events/

Cornhole for Cancer

A favorite of many, we can come to you to set up Cornhole for Cancer and get the competitive juices flowing among your colleagues. We have hosted employees from Leidos, Merck and ASTM (to name a few) and your company can be NEXT! Check out more at www.cornholeforcancer.org.

Ways to Get Involved

Your company can directly fund Respite for a family in need by supporting the three FPS Respite Programs: Travel Respite, Staycation Respite and Respite Reinforced. This is direct program support and is a restricted gift. You will receive specific information about the family you assisted! Read more about this support in our collaboration guide.
Employee engagement fosters camaraderie, increases productivity and instills a strong sense of pride in our workforce. Engage your colleagues through workplace fundraising events - from Cornhole for Cancer and duct tape challenges to dunk tanks, dress down days and a Polar Bear Plunge! We can tailor fundraising activity to your office culture and provide the technology for donation collections!
Cornhole for Cancer is the FPS Event in a box! We provide everything you need for a successful cornhole tournament - a sport that anyone can play - and all the technology behind donation collection and tournament management. We even come with staff to help!
Sponsor an FPS Event and treat your colleagues to a fun afternoon or evening supporting Respite. With five main FPS Events, from a Walk to Golf and our Gala, there is fun for everyone! Check out our Events page for more information and if you don't see one, then let's talk to organize one!
If your employees seek a deeper connection to our mission that is ongoing, become Monthly Memory Makers! Contribute to FPS monthly via payroll deduction, select us ats the charity of choice for #GivingTuesday and get involved in this movement or to directly fund a respite.
Create a culture of philanthropy at your office and provide your colleagues with volunteer opportunities through For Pete's Sake! We focus on Take a Break Days where we bring the gift of respite right to you (or you can come to us). We also offer group opportunities at our For Pete's Sake Walk! and golf tournament as well as individual opportunities for serving on event committees or operating committees.

We invite you to discuss your collaborative idea to help families facing cancer! If you are interested in sponsoring an event, please get in touch with our Events Managers, Julia Heinze at juliah@takeabreakfromcancer.org or Emma Ferrero at emma@takeabreakfromcancer.org.
