Stillness and Silliness

March 20, 2020 – For Pete’s Sake, Make Memories! Stillness and Silliness

As we approach the weekend, we want to encourage you and your loved ones to make time for stillness and silliness!  Part of the respite experience is to just “be” present.  This is difficult to do when you are under stress from so many directions.  This weekend, we encourage you to embrace stillness several ways – from baths to baking – puzzles to prayers – and our Making Memories Self-Care Kit has twelve ways to do so! We even have the recipe for homemade bath bombs, resources for keeping the faith, journal prompts, coloring pages and much more!

Click here to download your For Pete’s Sake, Make Memories Self-Care kit.

Be sure to share this kit with your neighbors too! We can all use some stillness in our lives right now! Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook for more Staycation ideas. We will be releasing new ideas periodically throughout the next few weeks!

For some silliness – are you missing March Madness? Make your picks for March Meowdness! For the month of March, the more time you spend viewing adorable cat content on Cats vs. Cancer, the more you help raise funds and awareness for FPS! Feel free to tag us @takeabreakfromcancer or email your photos/videos about what you are doing with our Make Memories series to my colleague Meg Schmitt at Meg@takeabreakfromcancer.org so we can share them!

Don’t forget to laugh, embrace stillness and MAKE MEMORIES together this weekend! We are thinking of you all. We continue to pray for our healthcare professionals, our leaders and all those who are making serious decisions about business at this time.

With Love and Gratitude,
