No Shave November with the Lehigh Valley International Airport Operations and Fire Department

Join us for the month of November as the Lehigh Valley International Airport Operations and Fire Department participates in No Shave November!

No Shave November is back and we are proud to remember our dear colleague, Makala Ashmar, who lost her battle at the age of 29 from a rare cancer of the bile duct back in 2020. Makala was a legend at Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority and filled our world with her smile and vivacious personality.

We participate in this month long (and sometimes longer) event to raise funds for a charity that meant so much to her during her journey – For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation. While Makala may not be with us in body, her sprit lives forever in our community and in the families served by For Pete’s Sake.

Let’s rally and remember Makala by helping other families facing this disease and giving them the gift of respite. This is our fifth year of undertaking this endeavor so let’s make it the best yet!
