FPS Featured on WBRE: A Spotlight on the Future Cancer Respite Center

For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation was recently featured on WBRE-TV, an NBC affiliate serving Northeastern Pennsylvania! Reporter Sydney Kostus sat down with Senator Lisa Baker, Woodloch owner Bob Kiesendahl, and FPS Founder & CEO Marci Schankweiler to discuss the groundbreaking Cancer Respite Center, which will be built adjacent to Woodloch Resort in Hawley, PA.

During the interview, they highlighted the impact this Cancer Respite Center will have on patients and families facing cancer. It will also have significant economic benefits for the region, bringing more than 100 jobs and generating over $41 million in construction and tax revenue.

For Pete’s Sake was recently awarded a $3.5 million grant through the Redevelopment Capital Assistance Program to build the nation’s first Cancer Respite Center, thanks to the dedicated support of Senator Lisa Baker, Governor Josh Shapiro, and many other key leaders.
