Network, volunteer and learn the impact of philanthropy in changing lives!
Our Founder, Pete Bossow, was 30 years old when he died of cancer and started FPS. He saw other young people struggling with advanced stage disease and wanted to make the journey easier on them with the gift of respite. Let’s live like Pete and help move our mission forward for young families.
Join our Society and engage with young professionals, cancer ambassadors and emerging leaders (ages 21 to 35) through social, networking and fundraising events. Membership is easy and requires only your commitment of $10 per month to FPS. Your generosity is a restricted gift that will go directly to help a family experience respite each month!

Upcoming Events
The event aims to bring together like-minded young professionals with current leaders, providing time for meaningful conversation and networking. Attendees will gain insights from established business leaders on leadership principles and pivotal moments that shaped their careers. The event will also promote the use of time, talent, and treasure to give back, specifically supporting young cancer patients and their families assisted by FPS.

Join the FPS Young Professionals Society in Striding for Respite at the For Pete’s Sake Walk at Citizen’s Bank Park!
You will travel three laps around the concourse, meet the beloved Philly Phanatic, enjoy yummy treats, and snap fun photos in the dugout! There will be a variety of fun activities for everyone to enjoy both before and during the Walk!
Get ready for an evening filled with excitement, community spirit, and baseball as the Philadelphia Phillies take on the Miami Marlins!
Team FPS shows up for a beautiful day in Sea Isle City, NJ to run and raise money for families to experience Respite through For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation. YPS members can sign up as runners or volunteers.
