eXo promises to donate $1 from every sale to For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation and spread awareness nationwide through their unique creations in honor of cancer survivors, fighters, and angels.
DYLAN’S STORY
The terrifying diagnosis of cancer has been a huge part of my life, personal growth, and healing for over ten years. In 2013, my boyfriend, Derek, was diagnosed with stage 3 Oligodendroglioma; an aggressive brain cancer typically found in patients over 60 years old. He was 19 years old and my absolute best friend. On April 19, 2017, Derek honorably lost his battle, and he will forever hold a special place in my heart. His story permanently changed me as a person, and I became a firm spiritual believer since his passing.
Fast forward ten years later… 2023, I finally discovered the reason for my mysterious medical issue. In June, I was diagnosed with stage 4 rectal cancer with metastasis to my liver and lungs at the age of 28. Typically, CRC is found in patients over 50; however, in the last several years, this specific cancer has been touching so many who are aged 20-49 years old. 50% of my liver was covered in nodules and borderline failing. Needless to say, I was in utter shock, especially since I do not have a family history of CRC whatsoever. Since then, my spirits have been up and fighting the good fight.
Through the madness that’s been ten-plus years of my life, I found a purpose for my artistic abilities. Established in 2023, eXo was born to raise awareness, kick some cancer ass, and make a difference while I fight this awful disease that’s plagued so many others! We are located in the heart of Berwick, PA, where I create jewelry and hand-painted items straight from my heart. One dollar from every one sold goes to For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation in honor of survivors, current fighters, and our angels.
