Yesterday I communicated to you about our program and fundraising plans during this COVID-19 outbreak. The letter is available here and I encourage you to read it.
Today, I am relaying a brighter message to you on this St. Patrick’s Day with a less known tidbit about the For Pete’s Sake program and introducing a new resource for making memories with your loved ones!
For the past seven years, we have been sending out the FPS Staycation Package to families nominated to our respite program but unable to travel because of an unexpected deterioration in health. This package offers resources for the family to Take a Break at Home and spend some time together creating special moments that become priceless, treasured memories. We create memorable moments for these families in crisis.
We include lots of goodies in our Take a Break Box at Home – puzzles, games, gift cards, journals, socks, candles, recipes, blankets, massage oil, cards, coloring books, candy, a Family Keystone (a favorite activity) and other miscellaneous items that encourage connection and manage stress. We are currently hoping to expand our Staycation program during this time of uncertainty!
Today, we are bringing our Staycation idea to you so you can make memories during this time! Today is even more special because we are celebrating St Patrick’s Day.
