Cancer Takes. For Pete’s Sake Gives.

An FPS Respite gives moments to heal and memories that last forever.  Becoming a Memory Maker Member is one of the simplest but most important ways to provide respite to families facing cancer. Members make a monthly donation of their choice to give transformative time and emotional support to our families each month. 100% of our Memory Maker donations are restricted to funding our Respite Program and directly provide Travel or Staycation Respites each month!

Some of our donors choose to give monthly through United Way or other donor directed agencies. Additionally, you can ask your employer about the ability to deduct your donation from your paycheck. Please contact Cristine@takeabreakfromcancer.org for more information!

Your membership supports direct program costs! Here is your impact:

• $25.00 – Provides one family emotional support materials and resources before and after their respite.
• $50.00 – Provides one family with resources for respite at home if they cannot travel due to advanced-stage cancer.
• $100.00 – Provides one family with magical moments while on travel respite including family meals, bonding activities and creative outlets for emotional expression.
• $250.00 – Provides a complete travel respite experience and emotional resources for one family.

Where is my money going?

100% of your monthly gift as a Memory Maker goes directly to provide respite to adult cancer patients and their families!

Is this donation tax deductible?

Yes. For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please use the annual charitable statement detailing the prior year’s giving, which is shared with you in January.

What if I want to stop giving or change my card information?

You are in control!! You will have a personal login where you can change and manage your plan at any time. We also make ourselves available via phone or email 24/7 to assist you in making any changes if that is what you prefer.

How do I increase my monthly support?

To update your information, visit your giving center or call 267-708-0510 Monday – Friday.

Will I receive notice of my transactions?

Yes. You will receive a receipt directly to your inbox each time your gift is processed. You will also receive an annual statement detailing the prior year’s giving

When will my card be charged?

Your card will be charged on the date of your first transaction upon becoming a Memory Maker, and will be charged on the same day of each subsequent month.
