Pennies for Pounds in honor of Micheal Dechert

Michael Dechert, a Respite Recipient and Marine veteran, is teaming up with James Mingle, owner of Kingdom Power Events, LLC, to host “Pennies for Pounds” at the 42nd Annual Coal County Classic Powerlifting Event in Valley Forge on December 7 in support of For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation (FPS).

Michael, diagnosed with glioblastoma at 46 and father of two, found renewed connection and comfort with his family during his April 2024 Respite Experience, Inspired by the support he received, he now shares his story, advocates for FPS’s mission, and actively fundraises while courageously continuing his treatment.
